MosquitoCon '06 was a lot of fun.  You would have never known that it rained the better part of the day, not to mention the sleet and hail.  The wet weather did not dampen anyone's spirits.  As the soggy people stood on line to check in there were more pleasant remarks like, "Ah, Springtime in New Jersey." …than there were grumbles like, "GRRR, Springtime in New Jersey".  We had almost 500 models entered and I thought I heard one of the others members say that's about a 35 or 40% increase.

This was my 1st MosquitoCon as a member of the club and it was interesting see what is behind the scenes for a show like this.  As a newer member I bounced around a lot helping where I could.  The members that have been in the club a while had their responsibilities more clearly defined kept things running smooth and did a great job.

I was lucky that nothing broke off any of the models I brought to the show.  I brought some basic tools and CA glue just in case and ended up helped about a half dozen guys get some of the fiddly bits glued back in place.  All you had to do was walk by someone unpacking a box and you had a good chance of hearing," *^#%, I knew this would happen!" One of them won 1st place in his class with a model we fixed.

The photos below are what I managed to get when I had some spare time.  You will notice that aircraft are more prominently featured. It is not meant by any means to imply anything toward other types of models, or modelers.  As you can surmise from the name of my website, I just spend more time at the aircraft tables.
