If you have heard anyone say the Tamiya P-47 kits are among the best out there, they are not lying. The detail is very good on everything form the cockpit and wheel wells to panels lines and surface detail. There wasn't any flash at all and the fit of the parts is great.
While the kit will build into a very nice model straight from the box, I decided to add some after market goodies. I used the Eduard PE detail set Quickboost resin engine, landing gear doors and gunsight. Because of the flat look of the wires, I have never really liked the look of a PE wiring harness for engines, so this was scratch built with craft wire and some .009 solder. Solder was used to make the brake lines that was added to the landing gear.
